How to use VLOOKUP function in Microsoft Excel 2007

Using VLOOKUP we can search for specific information in your Excel Workbook.

Example :

Just follow our step-by-step tutorial to start using VLOOKUP in Microsoft Excel 2007.

Now we'll add the following content in Sheet 1.

And then we'll add the following content in Sheet 2.

Now, we'll fill the B2 Cell with proper Title like 'Mr.' or 'Mrs.' using VLookup function.

Follow the following steps to achieve the target.

Step 1 :  Click the cell B2 where you want the VLOOKUP formula to be calculated.

Step 2 : Type the following formula.

=VLOOKUP ( D2 , Sheet2!$A$2:$B$3 , 2 , FALSE )

Step 3 : After enter the formula click Enter.

Step 4 : And then copy the cell formula in all cells.  We got the following output.
